About
The Knoxville Flying Club was established in 2017. The club was created by Cirrus to give our employees at the Knoxville campus the opportunity of a lifetime. We strive to give all employees, spouses and dependents the opportunity of becoming a pilot. If you haven't already, enroll now with one of our officers to start flying!

 Knoxville Leadership
Ian Anderson, TYS President (ianderson@cirrusaircraft.com)
  • My passion for Aviation started when I commissioned as an Aviation Officer in the United States Army and flew OH-58D Kiowa Warriors during two deployments to Iraq. I transitioned to airplanes after joining Cirrus and have over 1,300 total time hours.
Jenna Achtzehn, TYS Treasurer (jachtzehn@cirrusaircraft.com)
  • I joined the Cirrus team in October 2021. I’m a delivery pilot and also the flying club treasurer. I have an aviation management degree from Southern Illinois University and have accumulated a little over 900 hours. My favorite part of flying is making memories with those you fly and travel with.
Nathan Pool, TYS Administrator (npool@cirrusaircraft.com)
  • I have been with Cirrus since March of 2022 and am a proud alum of the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!). I am currently working towards my commercial license and love the opportunity to see the Smoky Mountains from the air!
Riley Domschke, TYS Maintenance officer (rdomschke@cirrusaircraft.com)
  • I started at Cirrus in January of 2021. I graduated from Western Michigan University with an aviation degree and have been interested in aviation ever since the 3rd grade. I am currently a Factory Direct instructor along with the maintenance officer for the flying club. I have a little over 1,200 hours of flight time under my belt and my favorite part of flying has to be the sunrises I get to see from the sky.
Rob Spicer, Ops Officer (rspicer@cirrusaircraft.com)
  • I started at Cirrus Aircraft in February of ‘21. My flying career started when I studied Aviation Technology in San Diego. I have been able to work in Aerial Firefighting, and had my own aircraft detailing company. I’m currently finishing up my commercial rating and I look to grow and advance my career here at Cirrus! Let’s talk airplanes!

Knoxville Instructors

Daniel Harrity (dharrity@cirrusaircraft.com)
  • I started my aviation journey in Louisville KY at ATP Flight School. I started instructing just down the road in Crossville TN and joined the Cirrus family as a Club instructor in February of 2022. I love being able to share aviation by taking people up for their first time.
