Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to be a club member?
The charge for Club membership is $5.00 per pay period (2 weeks).

Who is elegible to be a club member?
To be eligible for a flying club membership an individual must be a Cirrus employee or family member. Family member is defined as an employee's spouse, and/or dependent children age 21 and younger. Temporary employees employed through staffing agencies and independent contractors are not eligible. Membership inquiries should be directed to club officers.

How do I pay dues/rental charges?
Dues are deducted from employee payroll checks. Rental charges are also deducted from payroll checks.

How do I reserve an aircraft?
Currently, the Cirrus Aircraft Flying Club utilizes the online scheduling software SkyScheduler created by Carr Engineering Inc. Once a member, you will be issued a username/password to access the online schedule where reservations can be created. Be sure to be aware of current scheduling policies.

How many reservations can I have at any given time in SkyScheduler?
Current Club policy states that no more than 6 confirmed reservations are allowed at any given time. However, Members are allowed unlimited alternate reservations.

How do I check out an aircraft?
An aircraft must be checked out via a reservation in SkyScheduler. Prior to your reservation time you can log into SkyScheduler and check out the aircraft. Once checked out, obtain the keys and aircraft logbook and you're ready to go! (BE SURE TO RETURN THE KEYS AND LOGBOOK TO THE PROPER LOCATION!)

Can I check out an aircraft overnight?
Yes. If an aircraft is reserved for more than 24 hours, a minimum fee of 3 hours will be charged (in other words fly at least 3 hours!). Also, if the aircraft is reserved for more than 1 day, then the same 3 hour fee applies to each 24 hour period you have the aircraft checked out.

For example, if you check the aircraft out Monday morning at 8:00 AM and return Thursday at 11:00 AM a minimum of 9 hours will be charged to your account.
