Private Pilot Ground School

Private private pilot ground school will begin on February 6th in Knoxville. We will hold two lessons each week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. The ground school will be set up with a total of twenty different ground lessons for anybody in the flying club to attend. The purpose for hosting the ground school is so that all of the new pilots and students will be able to get a general knowledge of the airplane and what is required to become a private pilot. At the end of the ground school, you will be given a Private Pilot written test endorsement from our Flying Club instructor. This will allow you to take the private pilot written test from an official testing facility.
The ground school will cost $100 and will be deducted from your payroll. If you come to at least 80% of the classes then you will receive your money back in the form of flight hours. At the end of the ground school their will be a one week long review time that you may come in and have any questions answered that you may have for your instructor.

Written Test

The closest facility to the Knoxville area that offers written test is at the Gatlinburg Pigeon Forge Airport at Sevier County Choppers.

It is a CATS testing facility and you will have to schedule your written test over the phone them
