About
The Knoxville Flying Club was established in 2017. The club was created by Cirrus to give our employees at the Knoxville campus the opportunity of a lifetime. We strive to give all employees, spouses and dependents the opportunity of becoming a pilot. If you haven't already, enroll now with one of our officers to start flying!

 Knoxville Leadership
Felipe Casasfranco, TYS President (fcasasfranco@cirrusaircraft.com)
  • I joined Cirrus in December of 2018. I've worked a few different jobs within flight operations, but I am currently a supervisor for the team. I have been president of the Knoxville flying club since 2019. I have about 2500+ hours of flight time and a big passion for instructing and helping other learn to fly.
Jenna Achtzehn, TYS Treasurer (jachtzehn@cirrusaircraft.com)
  • I joined the Cirrus team in October 2021. I’m a delivery pilot and also the flying club treasurer. I have an aviation management degree from Southern Illinois University and have accumulated a little over 900 hours. My favorite part of flying is making memories with those you fly and travel with.
Lexi Swarts, TYS Administrator (lswuarts@cirrusaircraft.com)
  • I have been with Cirrus since May of 2021 and currently work as a Marketing Specialist on our Marketing Communications team. I am from Raleigh, North Carolina and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in May of 2020. Currently, I am working on my PPL in the Knoxville Flying Club and loving it! Fun facts: I have backpacked Southeast Asia and I love tacos.
Riley Domschke, TYS Maintenance officer (rdomschke@cirrusaircraft.com)
  • I started at Cirrus in January of 2021. I graduated from Western Michigan University with an aviation degree and have been interested in aviation ever since the 3rd grade. I am currently a Factory Direct instructor along with the maintenance officer for the flying club. I have a little over 1,200 hours of flight time under my belt and my favorite part of flying has to be the sunrises I get to see from the sky.
Knoxville Instructors
Austin Ray (aray@cirrusaircraft.com)
  • I have been a Cirrus Flying Club instructor since August of 2021, flying more than 400 hours in the beautiful birds. I started my aviation journey at a small flight school outside of Nashville then instructed in Tri-Cities, TN for a year before coming to Cirrus. Since then, I have accrued 1,100 hours cloud surfing and lapping the traffic pattern. I love to see my students smile after flying solo for the first time or taking their friends up after getting their licenses!
Daniel Harrity (dharrity@cirrusaircraft.com)
  • I started my aviation journey in Louisville KY at ATP Flight School. I started instructing just down the road in Crossville TN and joined the Cirrus family as a Club instructor in February of 2022. I love being able to share aviation by taking people up for their first time.
